Hi All,

Can anybody tell me if KC members are allowed to wear their KC badge in the ring when exhibiting?

Thanks,

Jeff.

Well as we are not allowed to wear anything revealing our kennel name I would think that in reality a KC member should not wear their badge, especially if in a prominent place.

Not sure there is a rule against it but etiquette would dictate that it should be removed.

Don't really know, but if I were stewarding I think I would ask the person to remove although I am not sure that is fair because I would allow breed club badges so perhaps I would ignore it, I have never seen it anyway.

It is a badge to say they are a member of the KC, just like any other membership badge (breed club, group club or otherwise) so I doubt very much if there is any rule against wearing one.
I personally dont have a problem with anyone wearing one in the ring & as a judge would take no notice..all it means is they are a member.

Just in case you might think I am a member of the KC..I am not!

It's not the done thing Jeff.  I believe it is frowned upon, not sure if there is a rule though.

Thanks for all the opinions/comments. I (think) there is no rule but as far as I am concerned it is not the done thing. I must say however that Judges DO take notice.
