Yes, and salukis do too under a lot of judges but generally as with any large dog a circle is best :-) When I'm judging I don't ask anything bigger than a whippet to do a triangle because the top end is never long enough to see their side movement properly.
Edited to say Tchi says do you mean cheese triangles, in which case definitely yes - with or without the foil :-)
Depends on what the judge asks for, me I don't do triangles but most judges do and I am sure if a judge asks a Saluki, Sloughi or a Borzoi to do one then do one they will.

Indeed :-) With a young zoi that may be a bit over enthusiastic (or a bit under trained) I would opt for turning the wrong way on the corners, so instead of a sharp left turn I do a 3/4 spin to the right so the dog moves round with me rather than making him stop and turn.
As others have suggested, it does depend on the size of the ring. If, as a judge, I think the ring is large enough I would always ask hounds for a triangle but should the ring not allow, I would either ask for 'up & back' twice or 'up & back' once and round the ring until the end.

Yes I do this with my Dals if the space is limited. Paula x
disagree about circles....you see so many handlers round the corners on their triangles thus making them circles, but circles nearly always make the dog lean inwards as the anticipate the continual curve, and therefore movement is affected....far better to do 3 x short straight lines in triangular shape.
