They may still appear up to and even after 12months.

How old is he?  Stop messing about with them and leave him alone if he's only a baby

Were they both there at 8 weeks or whenever you picked him up. It really does depend what you want him for. If he is to be a show dog I myself would want them both down at 8 weeks. If he is a pet, its no matter but you will have to neuter him to remove the retained one.
There are various schools of thought as to when the inguinal ring closes but once its closed theres no going back and both have to be on the right side of it or else one will be trapped.

I have had a lab pup before both testicles at 8 weeks and then one disappeared again. It never came back down we even tried drugs to get it down nothing worked. Then I have had pups nothing all the way down at 8 weeks and a few months later everything correct.

Depends how old he is now and like someone else said what u want him for.

I'm always fascinated - how do you know at 13 weeks that he will compliment her as an adult?

You WON'T HAVE to neuter him, you can just have the undescended one removed, and you can leave that till he is fully grown - 18mths or so - before having him done. Lots of Vets push to have a full neuter done at far too early an age.

Too right.  I have had a dog that had one left up in the iguinal canal.

I wouldn't have it removed until he was an adult.

And having one left doesn't mean that he is going to get a bitch pregnant.  Responsible owners think of this!  I so do NOT like the way vets want them done too young.
