Hello everyone

How was your Friday the 13th?
I had a dreadful day in work, I work in IT and we were implementing a new project and it all went horribly wrong AGAIN!!

Don't even go there Theresa:( I've had a crap day- I sent a client to court and they've decided to dispute the claim against them so now I've got a questionnaire from the court to fill in- I haven't got a clue how to do it and my boss left at lunch time so fat lot of good he was! I waited all day for some particulars to come through from the charlton branch which they sent at 4:40- bear in mind I finish at 5pm! I needed to write a witness on the form which would be a lady from our charlton branch who had left the office as soon as she'd faxed them! To cut a long story short someone's going to be in s**t for this and I bet it's my head that rolls!

oh viruses? yep i have eight mails in two days containing viruses all of which were caught coming in

I hadn't realised it was Friday 13th until after a HUGE 6/8 wheel mining lorry deciding to come into my lane at traffic lights and scraped along the full length of my car!! You can guess I nearly sh*t myself. Luckily he heard me honking my horn and got out to look because if he'd gone forward he'd have ripped the side off the car. Great fun :(
Now, I've got the hassle of insurance claim etc. :(
Still it could've been worse and there's very little obvious damage but my boot's slightly out of line so I'll need to get the garage to give it a good inspection. I certainly thought it'd pulled bits off with the noise it made.

Well we had a typicall friday 13th....woke up to find that one of the biggest hotels in Jersey, was on fire and had been going since 11pm the night before and was finally put out at 9am Friday morning (over 200 fire fighters, territorial army, even the raf guys that were with the red arrows display went and helped !! Most of the Hotel was gutted, and all of the guests were sent to the town hall. the majority lost all their belongings and just had the clothes they were standing in. My work is about 15/20 minutes away from the hotel and we could smell the smoke from there, and when I left at 5pm my car was covered in ash. Then on the way to work, left my house and got 10 yards down the road, and there was a car on fire, so everyone was diverted back the other way !! :(

Not a very good friday 13th for some people!!

I had to wave a sad tearful goodbye to my trusty old Landrover after 7 years faithful service.....at least its gone to a lovely country home.
