As some of you know I do cani-cross and bikejoring with my dogs.  I was up in the Lake District this weekend competeing with Jack my Kelpie and the local news team were there, they interviewed me (looking very fetching in my cycle helmet !) and also put a camera on my bike to film Jack running.  As with all these things it was heavily edited but Jack and I got a few seconds of film time ;)

Ive put the link to it on here as I thought overall it covered our sport really well, got across all the facts without making us sound too fluffy or crazy (although sleeping in a tent in the Lake District this time of year is maybe slightly crazy  )

I may have to think about joining you some time for that. How far do you end up going?
- By ClaireyS Date 25.10.10 19:34 UTC
it depends, usually around 5K although last week was 6K and the one before that was 7.2K

we made the local paper too (there must be a lack of things to report in the Lake District !)

Great shot Claire!!

Not sure about bikejoring but I know my eldest would be good for canix

Bikejoring takes a fair bit of stamina .......... one of the reasons I got the Kelpie, the ginger boys love running with the bike but cant keep the speed up over the distance.

Not just from the dog either.. lol.. Maybe the Lab in time can work towards this one, but first I need to get fit for that..

I'd like to give the canix a go, can you let me know when the next few races are? Maybe I can join you if they are down south. Can I enter on the day or is it in advance?

Entries usually close the Monday before the race, you can see them here http://cani-cross.co.uk/cc_calendar.shtml Moors Valley is a nice one down near the New Forest, otherwise you are looking at Alice Holt in February which is in Farnham.
