Hi my bitch is in season but im unsure what day she is in as I only just got back from hong kong. She is a month early so its really unexpected.
I really want a litter from her but I dont know how to time it.

Someone said I should introduce her to a male and see if she accepts or not. Is this method accepted?

Are there any other ways of knowing?

Take her to the vet for a progesterone blood test and have them send it to idexx, they will tell you whether another test is advised or whether she is ready for mating

Did the person looking after her not know when she came into season ?
