Hi I want to know any good advertising websites newspapers or magazines that I can advertise my puppies in?

This site in the paid for breeders section gets a good quality response. Also the KC's website -you get the option to have your pups listed on there when you register them for £20. Dogs Today magazine is very good as they only accept adverts for pups from health tested parents and demand copies of hip scores, eye tests etc as proof so the adverts are of an overall high quality, plus they are free.

Most of us though will make sure to have buyers waiting before we mate the bitch, but of course that can fall through -I had 12 buyers lined up and lost all but one when I had to change the stud dog at the last moment.

I used the KC's puppy list for the first time (larger litter than I was expecting and people dropping of the list). I had one enquiry the day it went on the site, turned out to be someone just doing some market research as to puppy prices - their ad for their pups appeared a while later! I've had one other email via the site but it wasn't a good enquiry. I was really surprised not to have had more response from it.

Several people I know have said they got their best response from Champdogs. I have not advertised a litter since the early 1980s (approximately 1982), so can only go on what I have been told by friends. I have heard some people have said they have advertised their puppies on Facebook, but I don't know how successful that is or if it is ethical.. I would not consider doing it myself. Many breed clubs run a register for people to join and then puppy enquiries are passed to them from the register secretary, which is usually the safest way to sell puppies as most people enquiring through a breed club will have done some research.

if you are a member of a breed club , they may have a puppy liason person ,in our 's we can put litters on the club list  and then people are put in touch with breeders that adhere to the club code of ethics (ie health testing breeding stock)
