Hi all, my 3 month old puppy was recently bitten in an unprovoked attack.  The owner was there and so was another witness.  I have also been told by others that these dogs have attacked other dogs, including one of the owners own dogs but when questioned about this he will deny it.  My main concern is that the owner advertises as a breeder, boarder, groomer and trainer.

I'm not sure what to do now...I'd hate for another dog to be hurt and I'd done nothing about it.  I did suggest that maybe he either restrains or re-trains his dogs but he took offense to this suggestion and in my opinion seems oblivious to the fact that his dogs are a danger.

Does anyone have any advice?

Get in touch with the local dog warden, they may have already had reports about this owner and dogs.

Edit to Add - hope puppy is ok x

When you say your puppy was bitten what exactly do you mean? Was the skin broken? Did it require veterinary attention?

His ear had several puncture wounds which I had to have him treated for.  Took ages for the bleeding to stop and he was quite shaken...

He's fine now but has a couple of scars...

Sorry to hear that Crystalpips, I was originally thinking it may just be an older dog telling a pup off but that certainly isn't the case then. As has already been suggested the dog warden could help. It's not actually illegal for one dog to bite another so doubt the police could help unless you feel these dogs are 'dangerously out of control' in which case they may fall foul of the DDA, the DW will advise. Hope the pup is ok, this sort of thing can be difficult for pups to get over, you'll need to find plenty of friendly dogs for him to socialise with :-)
