Does the lady in Southampton (Marilyn Baker I think her name is) still do hip scoring? Last thing I heard she had broken her wrist and wasn't doing any larger dogs for some time.
Thanks

Hi,
She was doing larger dogs as she did mine a few months ago now and he was the first really large dog she'd done (took some convincing for her to book my boy in though), we were there with some GSD's too.
Spoke to someone in our breed last week who said that Marilyn has retired from this and there is a new younger male vet who did hers, she was very complimentary about him, he's in to natural feeding etc. Still held in same place etc.
I am reliably informed that as from the end of 2010, Marilyn is retiring and the hip clinic will cease.

What a shame :(
I would check that as a friend of mine lives up the road and says that there is a male vet doing it now.

I know Marilyn she has the same breed as me , havent heard anything but saying that havent been to many shows this year . I am doing a breed show at the weekend so will see what I can find out.

Did anyone find out whether the hip clinics still going to be running, please?

A friend tried booking in a couple of days ago and was told that she is moving to new premises so not taking on any more bookings but I have also been told that she is finishing altogether.
Did you manage to find out any information about Marilyn?

I heard that someone else had taken over in doing the x-rays from Marilyn too..
Would it be of use if someone called the lady who lives at the house we go to to find out? She would have to be in the know surely.

She only does it on a Friday now as well as we tried to book one in back in October but Friday is no good for us. I do know more about the circumstances but I won't post them on a public forum.

I have had a message from Marilyn to CONFIRM she has retired from Eastleigh .

That is a real shame :( she was wonderful - so is there a new Marilyn out there?
