Following on the sucess of social networking sites and forums have had in finding animal abusers please post this anywhere you can.  Permission has been given for this.  This is one of the most upsetting animal cruelty stories I have been unfortunate enough to come across recently.

Lets find the people responsible.

I am sat here breaking my heart.  That poor, poor dog, never knowing love or fun.

Sadly, what worries me, is, that, if found, his abusers will be given a smack, instead of being punished severely.

RIP Jack, what a shocking story. Hope the people who are responsible are caught & sentenced.

Ditto, at least he is now comfortable & with friends. What vile things we humans are capable of.

What vile things we humans are capable of.

You are right and what's more people who do 'bad' things are often accused of behaving like animals.

Personally, I always thought animals only ever hurt or killed another in order to survive.

People hurt, maim and kill others for the pleasure of doing so.  It insults animals to have their name applied to these vile, evil human beings who being the more 'intelligent' should know better.

Please, oh please won't some politician have the backbone to stand up and say we have had enough of these thugs and take really strong action against them.  In this touchy, feely, 'excuse any bad behaviour' culture we are living in there are no strong deterrents or consequences to make any thug think twice.

The long-term suffering this poor dog must have endured before death is unimaginable.

I'd like those responsible thrashed within an inch of their lives and done publicly to show others what the consequences are.  And before anyone says its treating like with like, all I can say is the cruel morons acted first, they set the precidence.  All of us dog trainers know that behaviour is shaped and maintained by its consequences (good old Skinner) so getting a pay-off (no punishment) is what ensures this thuggish cruelty continues.

I've signed it. Could hardly bear to look at the pictures, but somehow it feels like the only thing I can do for that little dog, bear witness and pray that he is now happy and at peace.

OMG!  Poor little soul.  I have tears running down my face looking at him.  The only saving grace is that he is no longer in any pain and can find some real friends at the Bridge.  I cannot comprehend how anyone could do this but until proper punishments are given then i guess it will still go on.

I feel sick. On behalf of the race that have failed you so badly, I am so, so sorry Jack. I am disgusted to be part of the same race who are able to inflict such suffering.

I am writing this fighting back tears. What kind of world do we live in where people can do this to helpless animals?? There's rarely a day that goes by where you dont see on the news or read in the papers some form of animal cruelty story. People must be truly sick to watch an animal in their care starve before their very eyes. makes me so mad.

This has really bought tears to my eyes ,how anyone can do this to a poor little dog like Jack(or any other animal) is beyond belief-why on earth people have a dog and then mistreat it is just awful,if they didnt want him why not just give him in to dog rescue,-the only thing to do to these people is to do the same to them as they did to him,lock them up somewhere like a Turkish jail and throw away the keys,and even that would be too good for them.Rest in Peace little Jack,sorry to say probably the only kindness you've known is the gentle treatment you've got after death.I am ahamed to be part of the human race sometimes.

I am sobbing, but glad I listened to a lovely tribute to this poor pup.

That poor poor dog.  I feel physically sick knowing there are people out there that do that to animals.  I will never forget poor little Jack, he looks so much like my little Jack, the same colour, face, everything.

RIP little one, you are safe now where nobody can hurt you.
