Just quickly as off to bed, yes they can be good with cats. My friend breeds them and has cats.
Also in looking for a decent caring breeder I'd look to join the sammy club and start attending shows and events. You'll see differences in lines and it's a great way to meet people and the dogs and work out what you like and don't like.

I will always avoid he free add sites......the reason for this purchase isnt to show or breed its for pet only, I breed and show rabbits and go to plenty of shows around the country with my partner.
But thankyou very much for commenting

Think the suggestion that you join the club and go to shows was so you could find a breeder who's dogs you like and in whom you feel confidence and then you can ask to go onto their puppy list. Otherwise you may buy the first pup you hear of and it may not be suited to you and your life style.

Hi,
Sorry I didn't expand on what I meant, which is what Nova said. By joining the club its not just shows but events for all Sammy owners to catch up, whether you show, work or they are purely pets. Most of the puppies born do end up in pet homes from most of the good breeders, only a small number normally end up in show homes. So they should be looking at temperament as very paramount along with the health of the dogs they are using.

Hi,
Samoyeds are not very keen on small furry animals. They would get them and play with them untill they are no more. I personally would never trust a sammie with them. That is my life long experience with the breed.
