does anybody have any experience of petguard insurance, I have done a couple of quotes for them for my dogs and they have come in a LOT cheaper than what i'm paying with Petplan, I am thinking of changing one of my boys over as have never claimed with Petplan for anything, have checked and they are not underwritten by E&L which was one of my main worries, they do have the lifetime cover and the cheaper 12 months policy, I will defo be going with the lifetime cover which is roughly half of what i'm paying with petplan, which is incredible!! petplan are really good at paying out with no queries and pretty fast, I work in a vets and I complete ins claims for clients but have never come across this company, the likes of E&L, More Than etc seem to want extra clinical history and will try to worm their way out of paying, claims still not being paid up to 2 months after sending in etc etc

Just wondered if anybody has heard anything about good or bad please

Not sure how long they have been going for as i've only recently heard of them. I changed one of my dogs over from PetPlan to PetGuard a few months back and i'm saving myself a lot of money. Not had to claim so can't advise on that side of things(Hoping I don't have to either). They did state that if you want the policy then its £5 or you can download it for free online.

I have one of mine on Petguard too but like Sue haven't had to claim yet. I'm also saving a fair bit. My insurance with M&S for my bernese has just doubled again (second year running) and I forgot to change it! Agghhh!
