sorry to depress you all but i was thinking i will need to invest in a new jacket this winter,,,If scotlands winter is going to be anything like its summer its gonig to be wet wet wet!! Plus i have a new house on the beach front and its going to be extra cold!

I would prefer a jacket my husband could wear when hes on dog walking dutys so im thinking a mans jacket would be best were both the same kind of size so would be able to share!

When i used to have horses i lived in Mustos, but they dont tend to be the best waterproof jackets... I cant stick the smell of wax jackets so not one of those ether...

anyone got nay tips on good warm waterproof jackets?!

I have already kitted my pugs out with equifleece coats for the winter, now im thinking about me!

This is the one I have, combined fleece which is removable. It also interlocks with many of their other zip up products too.
This has been perfect for me, actually to the point I've not been cold in it, probably too hot!!

I got it a little cheaper from shopping around, but making sure it came from a place that actually had shops in case of a problem.. Love it!! :-)

The Berghaus ones are normally very good too.
I have NF waterproof trousers and they have split at the seams on 2 pairs now, 1st pair send back and they replaced them. Wish I had paid out an extra £50 for the Berghaus ones. But for the jacket, fabulous.

If you are looking for a bargain, M&M direct usually have some great bargains.  Duck down all the way for me, can't beat it - any brand I am not fussy as long as it is warm.

Try Field & Trek, I have had some great bargains from there including Karrimor walking boots - £79.99 reduced to £18.     Also a Berghaus 3-in-1 jacket £199 for £60.    I have signed up for their offers & they email them through to you.

go to a shooting shop and get one designed for shooting. I have 3.....a seeland a barbour (not waxed) and a harkilla.....all are fully waterprrof, breathable, rustle free and very durable. i go beating in the heaviest undergrowth in mine without any damage. un beatable compared with civvy type clothing which is genetrally pretty to look at but useless.

As scooterist i wear my flight jacket or Parka in the winter to walk my westie both of them very warm and waterproof and very inexpensive at around £30 for the MA1 flight jacket and around £80 for a decent parka look in your local army surplus store for them. Also suitable for male and female. And you can buy matching coats for your dog to i have a parka for my dog that i bought from a Jolleys pet store
