My bitch is 2 years old and still cries when I lock her in the kitchen at night, when i put her in there she trembles. I feel really sorry for her alone in there as she is with me every second from when she whacks up to when she goes bed. I would let her sleep in my bedroom but my grandparents won't let me (I stay with them)

What should I do?

Ps my dog is a yorkie.
Weirdly she is allowed in my bedroom in the day just not at night.

You have hit the nail on the head.  You have made her over dependent on you, so bedtime is stressful.

That said does she cry throughout the night, or does she settle once your gone.  If the later then there is really no problem, but I would work on getting her happier with her won company and being away from you for short periods during the day.

It isn't fair for her to be so wholly emotionally dependent on one person.

Brainless has said it and I agree with that.

Do you make a huge fuss of her when you go to bed? If so I wouldn't. Leave her with a bone/kong filled with something to eat and just walk out of the room and don't say anything to her. Keep her calm.

Possibly a security thing, just wondering out loud if getting a crate to start with would make her feel more secure when left, so you pop her in that at random times during the day to get her used to it, make it her special bed. Cover the crate to make it dark and den like

Thank-you for your advice I will certainly try it. I don't think the kong would work because for some reason she won't eat or drink when shes alone.
