I'm getting really stressed trying to find a suitable kennel for my boy for when I have to go away for 2 weeks late September.
He has never been in kennels, never really been away from me for more than a day and I'm not sure where to start in looking for the best for him. There seem to be two types advertised. The actual 'kennels' or 'someone's home' type set-up. I'm not sure which to go for, or whether he is going to settle etc.

I really don't want to have to leave him but I'm being forced to through work. Price isn't really too much of an issue, I just want the best for him. 2 weeks seems such an awfully long time!

So my question is really, what do you look for in a good kennels? Or can anyone recommend anything is the Bristol area?

Thank you
Vikki

My boys personally don't suit kennels, they've been once and it really unsettled them.
If I can they go to a friends who has dogs and she looks after them, if not then I have placed them in a sitters house, where we meet in advance to make sure all are happy, they came home with no problems and they behaved in this sitters home. I made sure that they didn't have dogs of their own either.
Not sure if you'd want someone in your home to be with your dog? Thats an option
