I am looking at what food to wean a large breed litter on, I was thinking of Arden Grange as have heard of good results on this however when I got their details they have a weaning food & then recommend changing to their puppy food at 8 weeks of age. This seems a strange time to change as it is when pups are going to there new homes which can be an upsetting time for them without changing their food. One person I have spoken to does not use the weaning food goes straight in at puppy food mashed down.
Please can you let me have your views/experiences of this food & also any other recommendations for puppy rearing.

Hi,

I have just weaned my litter of large breed gundogs onto CSJ and it seemed to go down a treat. It is very affordable so can also give owners a nice big bucketful with their pup..... They all look great and seemed to do very well on it. It takes a bit longer than some of the other brands to soak but this is not too much of a problem if you are aware. I just put to soak a few hours in advance on a rotation system.

The pup I am keeping will stay on it. I would definately use again.
