Hi, I was hoping for some suggestions as to what we could send my aunt and uncle for their ruby anniversary.  They live in Essex and we're in Glasgow, so needs to be something that can be ordered online and sent to them.  Once all the family up here have contributed there should be £70, although I'd like everyone to put in a bit more, as I think it's a bit tight.  My mum just wanted to send a big bouquet of flowers, but I'm not keen on spending £70 or more on flowers.  Anyone got any suggestions?

Thanks

Simone

What are their hobbies interests?

Is there a voucher for a hotel they have stayed in like etc you could send them, break away for them.

There are a lot of hamper's you could send them, have a look at Harvey Nics, Selfridges, Harrods etc..

Do they have a garden? There are many red shrubs (azaleas, roses etc) that would be a long-lasting reminder.

Have a look on this site: www.gettingpersonal.co.uk

Some of the stuff on there is hideous, cheap tat but I have come across a few beauties for birthdays, wedding presents etc.

How about tickets for the London Eye or a really nice lunch maybe somewhere special.  I know its not very original but could be somewhere they would never go like The Ritz or Claridges.

That's a nice idea :) If they don't want to go to London (Or you don't want to spend as much), there are lots of nice hotels that do Afternoon Tea :)

How about something personalized. Maybe a photo of the two in a frame. Or perhaps if they are dog lovers, something with a picture of their dog on........from the dog. Suppose it depends what time frame you have if it were to be organised online.

Thanks everyone.  I like the idea of afternoon tea at the Ritz or Claridges.  They don't have a garden and my uncle wasn't well last year and I'm not sure how fit he is now for travelling around.

Please keep the suggestions coming.  :)

I didn't notice I have replicated this suggestion already made by LucyMissy.
