hi,

i have been thinking about getting a poodle for a while and had been looking at the miniatures, but as time has gone on with researching and looking around i have been drawn to the standard and toy also, now my dilema is which one should i go for ?... if i had my own way i would definately have one of each :) but i cant have my own way :(  size is not an issue in regards to my home as it is a decent size and i have had a large breed before..

Any thoughts.

p.s large breed was a dogue but i lost him to a tumour recently and dont want another as it is heartbreaking just seeing them :(

I have 2 toy poodles aged 4 years and 5 years, I chose the toy as my family have had toy poodles all my life so I am very used to them and find that they will go for as many walks as I will take them. I find also that if they do get dirty when out for a walk I can easily pick them up and bath them when I get home. I also like having a dog small enough to have on my knee in an evening. The only downside to owning a poodle is that they need clipping about every 8 weeks which is expensive.
