Anyone know how me and my bloke go on getting our HGV license? I want to buy a 7.5 tonne horsebox so need the license to go with it.

Yep you needto apply for a licence, then go to a local HGV driving instructor and then it is normally a week of intense training with the test at the end, cost in this area is between £800 - £1000 depending, but it might just we worth going for a licence to drive something bigger at the same time as costs don't usually vary that much/
I am one of the lucky ones who already has the 7.5 tonne on my driving licence

If you passed your driving test before a certain time, you will already have 7.5 tonne entitlement. If your licence has "C1" on it then you can already drive up to 7.5 tonnes. this is the link to the DVLA website, which talks through entitlements and what to do to upgrade.

Im not one of the lucky ones to have it on your licence already. I passed in 2001 and you had to pass before 1997. :-(
