I had to take my 14 year old bitch to the vet for a suspected urine infection. Yep, another infection which we suspect might be caused by slight incontinence. So, she was prescribed amoxicillin and propalin. Now, that was yesterday and today she's started to drool excessively. She is fine in herself - eating and pooping fine etc although a little despondent which I am thinking is down to the drooling and possible nausea??

I have read that drooling can be a side effect of amoxicillin but she's had this medication before and hasn't reacted like this. I've with-held the medication tonight and will call my vet in the morning for advice.

Has anyone any experience of this happening with either amoxicillin or propalin?
