Hi

Well as long as your friends Staffie is KC Registered and he has all the paperwork then you can go ahead.

Has your friend done any Ringcraft (show training with his Staffie) this is advisable unless he doesn't mind looking silly with his dog pulling him from one side of the ring to the other :D :D

At Ringcraft both the handler and the dog will learn what is expected of them. The handler will learn how to show the dog off properly and the dog will learn that he has to stand still and let somebody look at his teeth and go over his body and check his bits (if he is a boy :D :D)

To find out what Shows are on it might be a good idea to pick up a Dog Paper - Dog World or Our Dogs. They list all the Open and Championship Shows that are on around the UK.

Hi what area do you live in? the best way to start is to join your local staffy club they will be able to advise on where your nearest ringcraft is and the advice ofered is very helpfull and they will be able to tell you were the local shows are all the best gwen

It is important that someone at the chosen ringcraft knows how to show a Staffy as they are not shown as most other dogs more like Bulldogs than Boxers. Ja:)kie
