hi, as i am useless on a computer i have trying to do a link for ages but i cant
how do i do it and is it really really hard

Normally you just open another window and open the site you want in there, then go right up to the top where the site address is, highlight it and copy/paste onto where you need the link to show.

i kind of get it but how do you get it to turn the colour blue with a line under it so that others can click onto it and it opens

If you want to put a full link so everyone can see the address then just copy and paste it:-
http://www.champdogsforum.co.uk

If you want to be super fancy pants then you can hide the full link and 'name it'
so to get this:-
If Carlsberg made Dog Forums....
you do this:
(But don't put the gaps in, I've put them in so you can see how it looks before you click post and it magically appears as a named link as above)
[ url = http: // www.champdogsforum. co. uk ] If Carlsberg made Dog Forums... [ / url ]

now come on.... show us your fancy pants, and have a go! :-D

Jo it will turn blue after you post (If you want to check it has worked then click preview first to see how it will look after you hit post)

ah i get it now,but how do you do a photo say from windows media or photoshop etc,they are my photos but i cant get the link bit right lol

Don't forget according to the Terms of service of Champdogs forum we're not permitted to link to our own photo's (or websites) on the forum.
But
You can put links in your profile (click on options to get to your profile) so when people click on your blue username they can see them.
  To put links on your profile most people use a 'photo sharing' site to do this, I use photobucket  http://photobucket.com/ (because its numpty proof!)

hehehe i will have a go now,let me know if it works lol, i asked about the photo as its my little pugs birthday next month (he is at rainbow bridge) and i noticed others on rainbow bridge putting a link to the photo of their dog which have passed,thats why i wanted to know how to do it

ha i have put in under my website a link to photobucket,but i am not sure if it is to one photo,the whole lot or my actual site where you could edit it etc without me knowing,if anyone gets a second can they check it out

It just links to one photo Jo the link on your profile you need the link at the top of your photobucket home page.
  Its a gorrrrrrrrrrrgeous photo tho'! :-D
