We have a 6 year old bichon frise and he was due his wormer. I looked in the catalogues I had and ordered Cestem liver flavoured wormer and rang and spoke to their vet and noted that the dose for 5kg-10kg was 1 tablet. At the same time my friend, who has 3 bichons, had given her bitches the rec dose and they had reacted by been sick and diarohea(sp). At just over 5kilos I have given our dog 1/2 tablets crushed up in his food and he has been fine. No sickness or lethargy. My friend has rang the company vet and advised for little dogs this lesser dose is enough. I find sometimes the weight difference of the stated dose is too big and the build in a dog between just over 5 kilos and a 10kilo dog is massive.
