Hello, I am finding it rather difficult to find on internet contacts for the purchase of the above. I will be leaving the U.K from Gatwick after a two-week holiday over there and returning to Madeira on the 7th. October. I will be needing all vaccinations and ‘passport’ etc in order, and the dog/s delivered to the airport. I need a reputable breeder who actually is not seen to be a seller of merchandise. Dogs are dogs and need to be handled with love and care. I do not wish to be’palmed off’ with an unhealthy dog simply because I live abroad. I do not wish to feel that we are dealing simply with money, though obviously understand that it is a necessary component. Excuse the whaffle ! Best wishes, Michael Zino, Funchal, Madeira Island.

Michael, even if you found a breeder who was willing to sell you a puppy under these conditions, the pet passport takes some time to arrange and I think you have left it to late. Most reputable breeders will not sell a puppy unless they have met the new owner in person, before ANY transaction takes place.

Madeira needs a pet passport? Aren't there any dog breeders in the region?
Wow, the entire process sounds complicated AND for 2 puppies of different breeds. Shouldn't a search have began a bit earlier, say a year ago, since this is an unusual and highly demanding request? I think that a good breeder would find this situation extremely stressful even with the advance warning.
good luck, I think.
