well i have been to the vets, numerous antibiotics, powder to break mucus up,ear drops for reacurring ear infection, more tagamet for hernia and 100 less in my bank,he has an upper respiratry infection, got to keep an eye on him because of all his other problems, i have to start measuring his water intake as he is drinking alot more and loosing a little weight, he is seven, vet said she may do blood tests for kidney failure:( if it is that and it affects his qualitly of life i will have to make the hardest choice of my life.i will  see what happens when he gets over this cold

Joanne has your Vet tested your dog for allergies?  Recurrant ear and nasal problems could be allergy related too.

Jo
what tablets has George been on?
They really need to run bloods. Could be anything from kidney problem, diabetes, or even his heart. Heart problems can be secondary to BOAS.
Hopefully it will be none of these but a simple blood test would hopefully narrow the diagnosis down.
Give George a big kiss from Olive.

Was just thinking the allergy test would be good cos they will test him for things such as house dust mite and storage mites too that can be found in dry dog food, and indoor and outdoor pollens etc.
