Has anyone tried this? It's my first time and I currently have pink leopard print finger and toe nails - I am loving it!!!!

I've been considering it for a while but I am from Yorkshire (short arms and long pockets) and really didn't want to pay £30 (for fingers OR toes!) so I ordered some from ebay for £9.75 and did it myself (with the help of my hairdryer rather than a heat lamp).

It was actually fairly easy once I'd got the hang of it - I did mess up the first 2 nails but just went back and re did them once I'd figured it out. Have had it on for approx 48 hours and it still looks fab! What with dogs, horses and sheep I'm lucky to last a couple of hours with normal nail polish so I'm very excited about this new discovery!!!

It also seems that it has given my fingers magic powers - I don't even have sheep I actually meant to type chickens!! Lol!!

oo this sounds like fun what did you look under on ebay ?

I've only got dogs and cats not a sheep /chicken to be seen  but I know what you mean

I'm thinking of trying these too. I just need to find a video of application before I am sold

What is it?

My sister has it in her salon, but has not been too impressed with it's staying power, so was surprised to read yours was lasting after DIY application.  She is now only doing it on toes for customers as all the "guinea pigs" (human ones) she tried out on finger nails found it chipping or flaking within a couple of days, and asking around people who had it done in other salons found similar problems - obviously if people are paying £25 to £30 pounds they expect it to last for more that a night out!

Can someone explain what it is please?

I've never heard of it either, so had to google it.

Basically fake/false nails..

It's not false nails - It's more like nail polish.

It's basically a really thin piece of film that you put on your nails so it looks like nail polish. It's not hard so doesn't give your nails any extra strength, it is flexible like polish.

Mine has lifted on the edges but I just re-heated it and pressed it down again and it stuck. I am a trained therapist so although I haven't had any training in this specific product I might be better at getting it to stay than someone with no training for nails.

I am very impressed though. I just googled "Minx nails" on ebay and there's LOADS of different patterns. I really enjoy doing my nails though so I think even if it did only last a couple of days I would have enjoyed applying it!!! :)

My hairdresser had silver on her toes last night when she came to do my hair and they looked great, I'm not sure how they would look on the fingers though.
