we resuced 2 wks ago staffordshire bull terrier (SBT)pup 11wks old she was  FREE as she was from friend of friend who had 2 pups left out of litter of 5 in which 3 died( as neither owners or dam knew how to take care of pups dieing within 5 hours the 2 left had to be hand reared she small for her age (as we don.t seem to believe she was 11wks when we pick her up)but she healthy! they were free to good homes as the owners didnt want to sell them to just anybody!!! the owner are in there 20yrs and have both sire & dam looked every bit SBT non kc! both seem well looked after sire was friendly but dam seem abit on edge! (found out that the dam had been resuced) we was offered both pups but declined! the reason they didnt want to keep them as both worked!! pup we took seem quiet aggersive towards my other dogs! seems to be quietening down abit now and she is well (but very greedy)even thou owners had plenty on food there!! we think that the food was put down  when they went to work and again when they came home?? right 1st is that pup is not quiet looking like SBT as she is growing (very slow) she seema to look more like cross sbt with  bull terrier (english) could this be from some were from her grandparents?? ! ps i have phoned the owners about this they said that the 2 dogs i saw were the parents ! sire is black just tint brindle dam was washed out fawn both pups were reds!! what every true is to be we love her ,one other thing she will wee in her bed or are  other dogs beds as well  but only material beds or blankets but will not wee in plastic bed any tips on to stop this thanks

If you buy a non reg. pup from non reg parents, theres a pretty high chance that either the parents are a long way from the breed standard, or are to some degree crossbred.

So she could be x bred even if both parents you saw are her actual parents, or.. it may be that another dog got to her mum when she was in season. I have noticed a lot of folk dont realise a bitch can carry pups by several different fathers at the same time. You will just have to wait and see as she grows up.

The colours do not sound 'wrong', though I am not up on SBT colour genetics, red pups from a fawn (i assume related to red genetically) and black (can hide red) parents doesnt sound 'wrong'. SBTs can be pretty much any colour and these are non reg so could be crossbreeds which gives even more potential colours.

The weeing issue is likely due to how the pups were raised - if they have always toileted on soft beddingy type material then that is what will seem 'right' to them - the only way to fix this is to be super vigilant and take the puppy outside very very frequently so she has very little opportunity to go on soft material. Then you reward her for going outside so you both change the habit from soft bedding to grass, and reinforce that with the rewards.

In effect this means taking puppy out every hour, and after food, sleep, play, drinks, and when she looks like shes seeking ou a place to go.

Do not punish her for an accident, any accident is your fault, not hers. Punishing for accidents just leads to a pup who avoids going in front of you!

Yes colours sound quite possible so wouldn't worry about that.

Young staffies wont necessarily look like a smaller version of an adult so without seeing them it's hard to say if yours has a bit of something else mixed in.
