Lucky things had a freshly caught 'garfish' for supper last night.
I wondered who on here would just chop a fish in half and let them tuck in................

If they were outside I would, but I can imagine the mess with my lot if I gave them raw fish, guts and all. They'd roll in it on the carpet before tucking in :)

Lol....
They were out of doors with no way in until it was finished with!

I don't even bother to cut it in half!

Ok I am ignorant but whats a garfish ?

Long thin fish, also maybe known as 'longnose'.
They are peculiar in that when you cook them the bones turn green, very very tasty, but very bony.

Most people prob ably throw them back if they catch them.........I have eaten loads of sea things that others might not have tried.
