Hi,

Has anyone ever used an R Com pet pavillion puppy incubator before? If so how have you found them? Are they reliable etc?

Thanks in advance.

Had to google it, found this one on ebay. I have to say if a litter needed this amount of care I would probably say that they weren't meant to be. There is something to be said for natures system of ensuring the strong survive. I'm not saying I haven't given the odd top up feed, and I would rear a litter if mother couldn't for some reason - but I'm not sure a pup incubator is necessary or even a step in the right direction?

I agree. Someone who lives near my sister in law and breeds bulldogs and frenchies has an elective cesarean with each birth, then takes the pups away and put them in an incubator and just plugs the pups onto mum for feeding. I just think it's totally unnatural and cruel.
I use a heated footwarmer if I need to keep the pups warm for any reason, say for instance between births if mum doesn't mind, or a trip to the vets. Its brilliant. shaped like a boot, and is nice an dark and warm. I inherited  it from my late aunt and I use it to keep my feet warm in winter, so it's dual purpose :)
