ould someone be able to tell me how long can phanthom pregnancies last for?

For as long as the bitch would be in whelp, ie. approx. 9 weeks. Then for another three to four weeks, while she would be lactating.
When it's over, the change back to normal is quite quick.
It can easily spoil a whole summer's showing..... or any kind of activity you choose for yourself and your dog.....

thank you, she is now 10 weeks from the first day of being in season, i do show her and she has put on weight so she is over her recomended weight for the breed and i was entering her into a few more shows but i suppose i should hold off on that untill she has finished, i am taking her to the vet to see what he can do, there isnt any milk coming out of her but her boobs are massive compared to usual.

Put her on a diet and reduce the Protein level of her food. 

This will help convince her body that having puppies in this climate of food shortages is a bad idea.
