Someone was selling these at Southern Counties today for £10 per tray.  I feed raw normally but I like this for travelling.  I completely forgot to go back to the stand on my way out and this post has just reminded me - how annoying!!

I could possibly have asked a non showing friend to collect some for me but someone has recently posted that there is a £10 charge for car parking - not quite such good value if I have to stick that on top...

I live round the corner from AG and still without delivery charges and also on breeder scheme its expensive. Love the prices you have Joanne.

I'm now onto CSJ - Fit 'n' Fast  - £19.40 for a 15kg bag from local pet shop.
All meat and bones comes from supermarket or butchers at varying prices.
All tripe i get delivered from Berriewoods. I got in bulk last time and had to purchase a new freezer to hold it all :-D

i know i am lucky, the used to just do horses,so when they got all the dog food in they were selling it for 15 kg for 19.99 as an introduction offer!!! i hope it does not go up,i am thinking of adding some fish or meat to stans food(newfie)i am just a bit worried he will get an iffy tum or start being fussy, what would you recomend
jo
- By suejaw Date 12.06.10 14:09 UTC
I have 2 large breed dogs and they both have sardines, raw eggs(with shell), tripe, bones etc added to their diet, its not made the youngest fussy..
As for an iffy tum, if thats the case then i would stop feeding that particular food topper.
A lot of people on here do feed the above and more to their dogs, if you're not going to go the whole hog of a raw food diet then i can't see it being an issue as a topper to his AG!!..

Se what others think..
- By joanne 1000 [gb] Date 12.06.10 19:40 UTC
thanks suejaw, i was thinking along the lines of tripe, white fish etc, never thought of sardines and eggs though!!!i have bought him a humongous roasted bone but not given it to him yet,i was also thinking raw bones, stans going to think its christmas. i will introduce it slowly and see what he thinks, knowing stan, it wont touch the sides

I would suggest avoiding any type of "cooked" bone, only feed raw- the best to give them if you have any close by are Buffalo Bones as they have a higher vitamin content.

Our dogs (9 Boxers, 1 Pharaoh Hound and a Rottie x Great Dane) get raw meaty bones (Buffalo, lamb ribs/necks, knuckles), chicken carcasses stuffed with tripe, apple and carrots (take the pips out of apples as they contain cianide), Bananas & natural yogurt with some honey, Chicken wings. The butcher we are fortunate to get all our bones from also gives us all his waste meat ie hearts (have you seen the size of a buffalo heart), liver, lungs, prime steak etc.

Our pups from when they start to chew are introduced to chicken wings and raw meats and meaty bones.

We used to find that some of our boxers when eating bagged food, and we did use some of the big names on the market, would suffer from bad stomachs quite frequently but since changing over to BARF our guys are very healthy and the pups we have reared from birth to adulthood that  have only had BARF are in much better condition, with greater muscle mass than the dogs we had on mixed diets.
