Chicken is fine as the bones are carrying very little weight even in mature, free ranging birds. Most birds killed for human consumption will be relatively young, and the bones still quite soft. Turkey drumsticks are very good too, although may be a couple of meals for smaller dogs.
When people discuss weight bearing bones, with regard to raw feeding, they are generally talking of the long bones of large mammals as these are truly 'weight bearing' bones.
