Orijen is now available to buy in the UK! Online orijenpetfoods.co.uk.
thought this might be helpful to any orijen users out there.
Has any one used the Ziwipeak range at all? I was talking to the guy from New Zealand, where it comes from, on Wed at PATS and it seems very impressive! Just looked at the website thought and its very expensive!!!
Curious to know what people think of it.

Orijen has been available in the UK for sometime. One of my friends has switched to Acana, same producer, as it's cheaper but still grain free.
Another friend in Australia feeds Ziwi Peak, it's a jerky not a kibble and tins she loves it - the results not the food!
I will ask her how much she feeds etc.
I have only tried the chews - cheap to post- my BMD's still have them after 3 months, although worn down, they are deer shanks, great for puppies.

Hi Karen R
I got some samples of the Ziwi Peak but haven't tried it yet. It is a very interesting looking food, as you say jerky not kibble. Apparently you don't need to feed as much of it as kibble so in the long run it may not be as expensive as it seems. Can I ask where you buy your deer shanks from. I did see them at this trade show I went to, but they werent' selling any.
what is it your friend loves about the results of this food? Is it firmer and less motions? Or that is good for intolerances?

I'll email friend for more info. Got the deer shanks from my friend who sent them with Xmas presents!!
I have seen them in Pet Pavillion in Kensington, sure other place will start selling soon.

Hi Karen R
thanks for that. I have actually managed to find that I can buy them online from the website so have just ordered a couple for my girls so we'll see how they get on with them. I'm sure you're right though that other places will begin to stock them.

ps Have you tried the deer hooves and if so how did the dogs get on with them??

Karen, I have had a scout round the net looking for suppliers of Acana that are cheaper than orijen but it seems to be the same price or dearer. Where does your friend buy it from?
You can get from Mutley and Mog and Acana pet Foods both .co.uk £45.99

Ok, thanks. It is only £1 cheaper so not worth swapping but thanks for the info. :)

Friend had 6 dogs, one has pancreatitis and her oldest who is 14 has diabetes.
So this food is fed to all. She also feeds some raw and when feeding is left to OH she feed Ziwi Peak tins instead of raw.
Her BC works with her OH and is very fit and healthy as are the other dogs and 4 cats. advice is, it's not a kibble so don't feed like a kibble, it's dried meat.
Hope this helps
