My friend is looking to write to someone that is overseas as a penpal sort of thing. She has joined a website for this but many of them ( not all ) don't want to write snail mail and she has no computer so finds email difficult.

Does anyone on here , maybe with family / friends in the forces , know of anyone who would like to do this? Or an address she can write to to enquire about?

Two thoughts on this, I am sure there are some who prefer snail mail as well as email. Also does her local library have an email facility she could use? Or does she live near an internet cafe?

Hi , she lives out in the sticks so finds it difficult to get to a computer easily. She came out to mine a few times to use it but I think the person she was emailing got fed up with the long wait between messages and stopped replying.

HI Sugar we know a few in the Royal Irish Reg who are due to go out to Afghanistan in Sept who would probably enjoy snail mail penpals, can ask in a few wks when they're back off exercise if you send me some details.
