I've had a lump in my nostril for several months now and it doesn't usually bother me. But every so often it gets sore ( like a pressure pain , not a sore pain) , then bursts and bleeds a little and then isin't sore again.

A friend has said it sounds like a polyp but i've never had one before so wouldn't know. Can anyone shed any light / had anything like this? I don't want to bother the doctor if it's nothing!

my sister has nasal polyps and has lost her sense of smell. Her nose is always blocked and she sounds like she has a cold all the time. Have it checked out.

Not wanting to worry you but get it checked out please.  One sided polyps are looked into more than bilateral ones.  SHouldn't be bleeding so get a referral to ENT.
