Are there any active databases for UK dobermanns at the mo, does anyone know?  My two new kids are both KC reg and I thought I might do some research, but the breeders are very small - so far I've found a whole one result searching the internet, and that was for a different litter to my two, on the March 2010 vWD test results pdf file.  Not tried the KC website yet mind you, but I've never found it all that useful.

I know Christine of Kerioak had one but I've never seen it active.

The KC website would tell you their vWD status from their KC reg, if they are hereditary clear. And you could probably trace further back if you have details of parents, grandparents etc.

Christine is the holder of the only Dobe database I know of, but like you say it has been inactive for some time now, it was very good when it was running.

What details do you have for the newbies?

At the moment just their names and date if birth (although that is not 100% certain, but it should be their birthday today!), although right now just the kennel affix as I have lost the paper with the full names written on!!

The affix is Migolia, the only info I have found was that one entry on the vWD list.  I shall have to get the names agani I think, paperwork here is in absolute chaos - although I am tidying today so it might pop up.

Edit: I did just have a giggle at your sig.  One dobermann, more than enough?  Never! Try four...

I think it's probably down to my experience with Hattie (and come to think of it my first Dobe Heidi - I often wonder why I had another?!?)! Lottie is fine, although she has her moments, and I'm sure I could cope if I had a few like her, but any more like Hattie and I'd be taken away by the men in white coats!

I'll certainly be sticking with Goldies in the future (with maybe ONE Dobe thrown in for good measure!).

Hi

I've been in Dobes for 25 years plus and showing for approx 11, I have never heard of the affix your mention.  If you could me some indication of the sire or dam, or even further back I might be able to help.  Just one name might give you the link you need :-)

Still not much info - Steve is going to try and find their pedigrees tonight.

In the meantime - Fox's registered name is Migolia Persian Clover, and Cassie is Migolia Bossy Spice.

He thinks their mother was Graceful Lisa - she does exist, she's listed as the dam for one Migolia bitch on that vWD list.  And he said that either their great grandsire or great great grandsire was Autolander General.

Any of that ring any bells?

Sorry no bells ringing yet.

You might have to go further back, keep looking !!!! :-)

No bells ringing here either I'm afraid?

Hi Nikita
I owned Champion Autolander General - He won Best of Breed at Crufts in 1992/1993.
He was just a family pet and the first dobie that I had owned, so didnt have the usual breed following.

Hope this help,

I have a full list of all his winnings and a few photos if you require
