Just wondering what peoples opinions are?

My current dog, a shetland sheepdog eats james wellbeloved, both the meat pouches an the dry biscuits

I am going to be getting a lab pub and i know royal canin do a lab food with holes in the middle to make them think they are eating more than they are but is it worth it or am i better to give a pup the junior version of the james wellbeloved ?

I have a 12-week old lab puppy, she is fed on Royal Canin Maxi Babydog, can be hard to get hold of but very good

My dogs have been fed RC for about 11 years now.  They do have other stuff like veggies, mince, chicken, Natures Diet and Forthglade too.  But as far as dry food goes, I wouldn't give them anything else. :)

I use Royal Canin mini junior for my toy breeds, and have never had a problem with it.  Super condition, and nice firm poos.  Oh how dog people like to boast about these things!

I've always been happy with JWB, but they are both nice quality food, feed whichever you prefer as long as it's agreeing with them.

I was always very happy with JWB. Not sure whether the hole in the middle theory will work, when we had lab they would have all eaten till they burst if you let them regardless of a hole in the middle!! But whichever you feel happiest with, where possible with my lot I try to keep them all on the same food for ease for me but I am aware that isn't always possible!

After reading a report about RC i changed my pups food within a few days of reading it!

Hes now on Arden Grange and doing fantastic on it, great coat and very full of the joys! I did try Orijen but it never suited him, he had intense runs! Poor pup.

Since RC changed the ingredients of their food my pups don't do so well on it,   Scotgal2009 if you have a link to the report I would appreciate reading it, could you pm me the link please.

After about 2 months on RC ours all turned their noses up at it, bit annoying really as they were looking quite good on it.

My litters are weaned onto Starter, then onto Junior puppy, but as soon as they go on this they all get really upset tummies......and I do it gradually not in one day, before, the main ingredient in junior was chicken, it's now beef and pork.  I had the manager of RC come out to see me, he took away a sample of the food for testing...but like I said I didn't think it WAS the food, just that since changing ingredients it doesn't agree with my litters and this has been my last 4 litters, not just one, plus I know of 4 other breeders who have had exactly the same problem.

RC promised to keep me up to date with any news on the sample he took away, but I've not heard a thing..........not sure if that's good or bad news.

Great customer service Sharon! I think that's pretty poor service if they haven't even given you a courtesy call etc?

I'm forever emailing Arden Grange and they usually email back within a few hours. That's the service I prefer and I like the fact there customer service is 5* that really means a lot to me.

Thanks guys, I will have a look as i have a cash and carry account so i can get the full range including arden grange etc - I initially chose JWB because it was recommended by someone after my dog became addicted to bakers with all its colouring and sugar

My lot love Royal Canin, the babies are on junior and all of the adults on Medium sensible, they love it, are in super condition and super toilet, nice and firm. Just checked the junior bag, the main ingredient is still poultry, it seems to be pork and beef protein.  Anyway mine are all in superb condition and wouldn't change from RC. Tried Arden Grange a couple of years ago and they wouldn't eat it (but Frenchies can be fussy).  I think as long as they eat and enjoy whatever food they're on whether it be RC, JWB, Wafcol or whatever and are in good condition that's the main thing.
