Just got back from vet with 13 day old pup.
The reason for her eye being stickey and stuck shut is that the vet thinks shes might have dry eye, but isnt 100% sure due to her age. He says shes very young to have now anyway. Got some Fucithalmic ointment for her to be used 3/4 times a day for 5 days.
Has anyone come across this in any of their pups and what was the outcome...i know if it is she will have to have drops or ointment for life and cannot be bred from, which she wouldnt be. Vet cant do any tests as yet as shes to small at the moment.

Never encountered anything like this as often mien don't open their eyes until about this age.

i wouldnt write her off just yet....vets have little experience with neonates so i d wait a lot longer before concluding this
