Hi, I presume a lot of people wont remember me, it's been quite a while since I have posted on here. I used to post when my gsd/rottie was a pup with problems. Well I am pleased to say she is 4 and half and an amazingly calm well behaved dog :) Mostly due to getting a lot of helpful advice from people on here - so thank you for that, a lot.

Well, for just over a week we have a new additions to our family. A one year rottie rescue. He seems to be an angel, so so friendly, brilliant with kids, walks perfectly on lead, managed to learn sit, down, drop and wait all with in a week - very intelligent! He was castrated on monday though so sadly no walks which is driving him mad but I am taking this opportunity to do lots of training with drop etc as he has a tendency to growl if you go to get his ball (he loves fetch). We have no background info apart from he was found as a stray in london - but apart from the ball possessiveness he seems like an absolute angel. I have a play pen for him and he sleeps all night with out a peep. I also separate them with feeding and no toys are allowed for them to squabble over.

The only problem I have had is on the second night of having him on a walk, I bent down to pick up the poo and he lunged and growled at some joggers. So now I have been carrying treats on walks and making him watch me etc. In truth I think it spooked him as they came out of no where, although obviously this isn't acceptable behaviour! He doesn't have any problems with people walking past in the street, except from presuming everyone will hug him lol. This was my fault I know and it has taught me to be extra vigilant in watching him and his body language. Once he has recovered from the op we will be finding a good obedience class to attend also.

So anyway, hello, you may see me around here again now!

Well I can say his behaviour is impeccable at the moment! No more issues with joggers at night, feels like I have had two dogs for ages lol. My bitch has taken to him, we still have to make sure she doesn't get jealous though. She wouldn't let him anywhere the bee she had killed and slobbered over yesterday :D

He has been fine with every new person and dog he has met so far, which is quite a few - been keeping him busy ;)

He is on antibiotics and inflammatry tablets as his dissolvable stiches started to flair up but it's not bothering him at all. He honestly seems like the perfect dog for us and I'm so happy :)
