ok so lola is on day 11 to my awareness and troy my 3 year old entire male (not mating them just a question) isnt showing her ANY interest what so ever.why??

shes definatly in season shes swollen has bled and is now not bleeding blah blah its all normal but he hasnt battered an eye lid to her.....which i was sure he would do.im relying on him see to tell me when she would be ready so i can keep her indoors completly.
i walk her now at nights rather than her woods run with the others.i just want to be able to count the days til she can re-join us.it seems like im keeping her in for nothing??and then shes got another week on top of that just so im sure shes clear,

also i have her first show on 3rd april and i was hoping to miss ringcraft this week but get back there on the following thursday just to get some more confidence building ect before we go on the saturday, but if shes gonna be one of these bitches that stands on day 21 im not gonna make the show either.

someone tell lola to read the book of the bitch please,so far shes done nothing by the book....im not kidding  NOTHING.

she doesnt have a fantastic CHAMPION bred line but does have some nice well known well bred dogs in there perhaps she'll shock me there too and get herself a nice title lol.
be nice wouldnt it .....

help and reasurance..i know im asking a lot lately but this is going to keep happening while im new to the showing i am sorry i keep on..

He knows what he's doing, clearly. Day 11 is still early for some. You're not keeping them apart for nothing. Years ago, I was stupid enough to trust the dogs own judgement so didn't separate dog and bitch until the bitch were on her second week of the season. One day in 2001 I had a bitch on day 13 of her season, she and my entire dog were asleep together in the kitchen, dog paying her NO attention whatsoever, not treating her any differently to any other day. We then opened the back door and let them out for a wee, was then going to remove the bitch. 30 seconds later they were tied outside. Since then I've see the same many more times, the interest happening all of a sudden within just minutes.

And she could be another week or so before she ovulates!

Don't think they ever want to make things easy for us!  I had a bitch that wouldn't stand for the stud dog when I thought she was ready.  Waited until day 17.  Next litter I thought that I had her sussed.  She stood on day 8!
