Does anyone know of any dog friendly hotels in the north east/north yorkshire.  struggling a little and would like to go somewhere quite nice with our four legged friend.  any suggestions welcome :-) would only be for 2 nights

Lots and lots of them, are yoy looking for seaside or country?  What are your preferred areas of the North East - give me some more clues and I can give some suggestions for the Durham/Norhtumberland and North Yorkshire areas.

Hi Gwen

Ideally probably looking at seaside based in Durham, but open to ideas really! the important bit is that dogs need to be allowed, and also allowed into an area where so we can eat.  weirdly some places let dogs stay in the accomodation, but then do not permit you to leave your dog (which I wouldnt be happy doing anyway!) or take them into an eating area.
Thanks for your help :-)

although not coast plenty of walking in the country and not far from Whitby. We have booked a holiday on a narrowboat this year. Had a taster weekend last year, dog came with us and loved it as we just stopped and we got off and walked along the towpath then jumped back on when tired....
