I really cant believe the levels people sink to. A few weeks ago i had a puppy enquiry from a commercial pack, and i politely replied that i dont sell to packs. Today i had an enquiry, a sweet sounding email from a lady wanting a pet. I actioned my usual routine of checking out emails via google and facebook (you can tell so much about folk from fb!!!)and immediately the email came up, in a different name, on FB. Checked out the persons FB friends and there were several of the masters of the aforementioned pack. Checked the packs website and hes also a master!!! now it makes you wonder what lengths theyll go to to deceive :((((((( I answered the email, along the lines of....."i have already responded to xxx email a few months ago and my reply is still the same"....they must now be completely confused as to how I rumbled them!!! :)

thats awful. just shows how careful you have to be though, doesn't it? i must admit i search names and email addresses for people, have been stung so many times with different things, mainly to do with horses though, rather than dogs. but stil, these are sad times :-(

What a great idea would have never of thought to check people out on FB thanks for that tip..you are right though people seem to show their true colours on this site..I will certainly do this in future thanks!

I always check the address on Google maps, 3 bedroom house with large garden turned out to be a block of flats and there was no mistake. Not suitable for a large breed dog.

Nothing surprises me Sam.  It just shows you that your dogs must be very highly regarded if they will do all sorts of underhand tricks to buy one!  Its a backhanded compliment - if you can see it?

I do think that some unsuitable people can get very crafty when wanting to get a pup, knowing what answers to give to get a positive reaction from a breeder, when refused in the past.

If you search for friends you can find them by email, some profiles you can see, some you can't but either way you can see if their name is a match

just put their email address in the search :) Amazingly sometimes it comes up with a different name. i also search their emails and tel numbers in google. had one a few weeks ago that sounded a nice family.....googled the mobile number and he was puppy farming bulldogs on free ads!!!

Gosh, I wouldn't even think of that - but I'm not a breeder anyway - but how devious are some people!
