who had acupuncture for they dogs. 1 was the results good and heal the dog. 2 when did you find a good rep person to do this in your area. 3 how long did you do it for to get the results 4 how cost per vist
I had it for my staffy when she had back problems. It got to the point she had little power in her back legs and couldn't jump anywhere.
the results were excellent, i think we had 4 sessions. It was one of the vets at the practice I went to at the time that did it. She did it as a private venture although it was advertised through the practice. It cost £20 per session and the vet came to my house to do it so missy could lie on the rug and chill out in her home while it was happening. She would wince occassionaly with some of the needles but generally fell asleep during the treatment.
I would definitely get animals treated with acupuncture again, definitely preferrable to pain killers which don't solve the issue.
I had acupuncture on my GSDs spine when she had paralysis spreading down her spine into her back legs. She had it done at the surgery at the end of clinic time. Cost was around £10 per time and she had 4 sessions about 1 month apart, and then a few more after a break of a few months. It really helped although I must admit it did wear off after around 1 month so the top up was essential. My vet at that time was very open minded and had an animal healer come to her home for one of her horses from time to time and invited me to her house with my GSD for healing. This was truly amazing and cost £25 but I saw my dogs coat move as if with electricity even though the healers hand were 3 ft away from her. My dog just fell asleep and on waking she actually ran for the first time in 2 years. So both the acupuncture and the healing added at least 18 happy months to her life.
