Hi

my uncle is getting a chessie puppy in a few weeks , his daughter will be grooming etc can anyone tell me what equipment etc is needed

I think just regular grooming to remove coat when shedding, probably with a slicker brush  ? Have never had one to groom but looks like a curly / wavy lab coat ??

Rubber curry mit should be more than enough. I found the best thing was letting them swim, sea water always brought the coat up a treat! :-)

:D thanks , i read about a bristle brush/slicker brush wide toothed comb , also what type of show lead is needed

Most people show them on a brown rope slip lead/gundog lead. I have noticed recently that some are being shown on check chains but don't think this is the norm.
