Ok i have been reading any thing i can on early syptoms of pregnancy my problem is i have a giant breed and wondered when people say the nipples get bigger how big do they get and in early pregnancy how big [now in third week ] And the vulva again how big is big pea size plumb orange I am confused
Untill my girl was mated i never looked or felt [Alough as stated in last posts i have now become obsessed ] but dont really know what i am looking for any advice or sights to look at I am taking her for a scan a week on monday so will be buying the book of the bitch then One last thing most days she is a little sick this is like a green frothy bile yuk but she has been doing this for 2 weeks now is is it a trip to the vets or some morning sickness  Cheers

hi, im in the same situation also mated a giant breed but only 10 days ago and she is not showing any symptons as yet i keep checking her and reading anything i can but im as impatient as you are i really dont think there is any way of telling until you have her scanned her but i know just how you feel!! fingers crossed for you let me know how you get on with your scan x

Hi , I have a giant breed also when my girl was pregnant she showed no physical signs. She was the same as usual other than having quite a lot of discharge. I had her scanned and they said two pups but she went on to have six , however she only started to show signs in the last week when she started to fill out.
I know what you feel like just constantly looking for any signs but it's not long til you can have her scanned and hopefully it will be good news and it will put your mind at rest.

LOL we are so funny , i also mated my giant breed 14 days ago .... i am totally paraniod :0( ... not so much about pregnancy but every little thing that is different to normal gets me thinking is she ok

She has no discharge , but is cleaning herself more than normal & my male is sniffing her alot also she is panting more than she would usually... so me being not the normal kind of person keeps thinking bad things like is she ill .

She also keeps switching between being playfull to then looking sorry for herself and tired .

The good thing is i am decorating the bedroom to take my mind off things lol :0)

hi ive just checked my girl who was mated 11 days ago and her bits are still swollen and puffy and have changed from a pinky colour to a dark blackish colour hope this helps.

Sounds a tad early for morning sickness.  I do think that people can get obsessed with checking.  I have a good look at my bitches nipples prior to mating.  And I don't look again until day 21 after mating.  I can't see any difference in size - it's just that they take on a different hue.

Most of my bitches don't show until week 7, and it's when they move down from under the ribcage that they look pregnant.  I stand over them around week 5, and notice that the ribcage has widened.  I don't ever have them scanned.  I just know if they're pregnant or not by week 5.
