Hi. I just like to say thanks to everyone for their advice over the last 8 weeks and helping me through the trials and tribulations of my first litter. They have now gone to good homes but boy do i feel empty and wish i spent more time with them rather then the worrying! But i know they have gone to grear homes. Just a quick question on my bitch, sin e the last pup gone she has become subdude and growly - when outsidr shes as happy as larry but she is also absolutly full of milk to the point of it being uncomfotable for her. She last fed the pups over a week ago and before that for a week she was only doing top up feds last thing at night and early morning. She seems to have got more milk then she had last week! Ive cut her food back down and is excercising. Any help woukd be appreciated! She is off to the vets later today for a general check up x

Try Garlic & Fenugreek from Dorwest herbs. I use it when my bitch as a phantom & am trialling, for the first time, to use Raspberry leaf as a combination with the G&F(because some one gave me some) I am 2 weeks into the regime at the minute so I will see in several weeks time if it has worked as good as/better than just the G&F on it's own??

Golly, I have never had this as the natural weaning process means by the time pups leave the milk supply is low, and all gone by about 12 weeks.
I would reduce the protein content of her food and remove all nesting objects and increase exercise as you would for phantom pregnancy.

Hi. The vet has given her some galstop to stop milk production as she says its like mipking a cow! ( i have a close relationship with vet who also sees my farm animal so no offence taken lol) she seems so much more comfortable and is drying up very well!

Hi has anyone had any side effects on galastop? My bitch was fine with it dor the first 2days but on the 3rd shr threw up, which i knew could be a side effect , i gave it again on day 4 and this time she threw up 4x in during day/ night, its says side effects could happen on first two days but i decided not to carry on the course after the 4th day as she wasnt to good, but on the 5th, 6th and 7th day she waa still throwing up but only once a day. Last night and today shes eating and playing well and no more milk producing! Im just wondering weather others havr had a problem with galastop?
