What are the first sighns of pregnacy in a maiden dog And when did you notice them ?

I think the first signs is about 35 days with enlarged nipples the best way is to have her scanned about 4 and half weeks since the first mate. good luck

Depends on the bitch. With one of mine I  knew from the day she was mated that she had taken as her behaviour changed instantly compared to other seasons, with others I've known after 2 weeks also because of behaviour and especially eating habits (going off food, being sick), others have taken 3-4 weeks before changing, and I find the teats don't enlarge until after 5 weeks or so so tend to have a vet check at 4 weeks to play safe.

The first thing that I notice in my bitches, around day 21, is a subtle change in nipple colour, a rosy glow!

My bitch is a maiden also, at just about 2 weeks in, we have noticed some changes in her behaviour..........she seems rather subdued compared to normal and is noticeably more tired....my OH says she is also more loving towards him - she cuddled right up on his lap tonight - a 1st for her to do this with him.........she's always been affectionate with me! She's also trying to avoid her afternoon walk!

Hoping these are all positive signs and not just us imagining lol :-D
