I saw somewhere that you can buy these for identifying puppies, I'm thinking of using them with my next litter, has any one used them?, were they any good? and also where would I buy them, I've had a look on line but can't seem to find them.

thank you

B

tabbands? these are good, the genuine tabbands are good, but ebay do copies that are good too, but dont allow you to write on them, genuine ones do.

Agree with Tanya.  The original Tabbands are absolutely ace.  I've used them for years with no problems at all.  I love it that I can write pups name on them, it means that when puppy is collected, folk can see they are getting the pup they chose.  One of my breeds has almost identical pups (in colour), so I love being able to identify them.

I wouldn't bother with the substitutes that are sold on ebay, after the feedback I've had from doggy people.

I got some Tyvek bands off ebay, they were miles too big so I cut the length down and then cut each band into 4 thin strips to start off with.

We bought the puppy id collars last week, www.puppyidcollars.co.uk adverts have been in Dog World quite a few times. They are brilliant, the litter are like peas in a pod (apart from one who you just can't miss) and we couldn't tell them apart for the first week.  Because ours is quite a small breed after we cut the length of the collar we cut them in half length ways to make the collars narrower. Ordered them one day and they came the next day.  These can be written on too.

These are a better buy.  I have been using them for years, and can't fault them, or the service from the supplier.  They are the original Tabbands too.  Not copies.

They look identical, what's the difference?
- By Tanya1989 [ru] Date 15.01.10 16:10 UTC
the knock off ones cant be written on and are not as sticky

Thanks for that.  I'm sticking (pardon the pun) with the id collars advertised in the Dog World, they are extremely sticky, can be written on, 6 different colours and very reasonably priced.  When this pack is all used up will certainly buy again for future litters.

Yet still more expensive than the original TabBands!
