My litter are now 17 days old, when is best to worm? They are a small breed, some books tell you 14 days others 21 days. I will be using Panacur 10%

if mum was wormed during pregnency and 2days post whelp then its 3weeks ,i use dronital and worm at 2weeks and every 2weeks from that till 12weeks old then it has to be done every month till 6months , but if mum wasnt id have done it at 2weeks .

If it's Panacur 10% then you start at day 14 as it instructs on the box.  I Panacur my bitches during pregnancy, and do the 3 day course for pups at 2 weeks, 5 weeks and 8 weeks.  Again at 11 weeks if they're staying.

At 2 weeks and 5 weeks I Panacur Mum, but not for 3 days.  And not at the pregnancy dose.  You just do her for one day only, at the normal adult rate.  Have done this for years.

It's the manufacturers recommendation, and it has been problem free on my toy breeds.  Wouldn't use anything else, because I have no reason to.

At 17 days I would be getting their first dosing right away.

Thank you.

I will get them done tomorrow, i was just waiting that bit longer due to them being a small breed! And read online somewhere that they are normally left untill 21 days for first dose!

Mum was done from about day 50 till 2 days post whelp (Couldn't get it in her any sooner, not due to lack of trying)

Thanks again.
