I often see different size labs some are tall some quite small. Are there 2 types of labs?

You have the working strain lab as in many breeds which is built differently, much more slender and athlectic with more energy.  But to be honest in most breeds there are breeders who do not breed to breed standard BYB's being the main problems, so we have a variation of all shapes and sizes, I've seen some labs which are so stocky they look more like DDB's and some which are extremely tiny and look like crosses, so even though there are two strains of the breed, I can see your confusion I get confused myself sometimes. :-D

But if you go to a good breeder you'll easily just see the difference between a working and show type strain.........Trouble is there are so many breeders sometimes it is hard for people to find the ones who breed to standard.
